The Races

    "Ready." The announcer's voice boomed through the stadium.
    "Set." Ten men leaned forward in their saddles, their hands gripping tightly to the reins.
    "Go!" There was a flurry of flapping wings and the beasts were off.
    "What are those?" Barbara whispered to Talbot.
    Talbot laughed at her look of shock. "Dragons."
    As much as Barbara had learnt to put her previous ideas of magic aside, it was still hard for her to believe she was actually watching a dragon race. It was even harder for her to believe those furry creatures were actually dragons.
